Question # 1

The main character, Eddie, has two major conflicts. First being Eddie vs himself. His
desire to work at Ruby Pier was a failure. He was very depressed and angry at what he had done with
the remainder of his life. I can relate because I have many things to do in my life, but sometimes I failed.
I felt disappointed and maybe I have an anxiety.

Eddie demonstrates dynamic characterization throughout the novel. I feel sympathy to

his general conflicts and how he resolves them. If I am in that situation, I will handle the conflict in
similar way because I really admire his numerous and significant character traits that impacts the plot of
the story.
