- Testing for antinuclear antibody, antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody, C3, C4, hepatitis C
and B panels was all negative.
- Renal ultrasound revealed 11 cm kidneys bilaterally with slight increased echogenicity.
- Ascites and pleural effusion were noticed on the ultrasound

- Immunofluorescence studies were all negative.

- Started on 60mg of oral prednisone along with furosemide and olmesartan

- Minimal Change Disease is one of the most common causes of nephrotic syndrome
especially in children where there is a disruption of podocytes.
- It is not associated with much damage in the cellular level.
- Patient typically responds to corticosteroid treatment within a month.
- It has more favorable prognosis than adult nephrotic syndrome
- Minimal Change Disease follows recent immunization, allergies, and infections.

- Electron microscopy was used as a confirmatory test


- Pfizer is the earliest vaccine administered to ages 12-17 years old
- T cell activation may be the main mechanism for MCD pathophysiology.
