Procedure Rev. # ( 3 ) Date Nov. 2022 Overhauling of Control Valve in Shop Next Review Date Nov. 2027 Attachment-3 Ball Valve Disassembly Page 1 of 1
Ball Valve Disassembly
1. Remove all accessories.
Note: Instrument technician should exercise extra precaution while working on the actuator dis-assembly and re-assembly. Use mechanical device like clamps and long bolts to hold spring tensions. While opening the actuator to prevent injury due to store energy of spring. 2. Apply air to move the valve free spring tension. 3. Disconnect the end rod pin, then removed two nut and bolt for body connection (now body free from actuator). 4. Keep the body in bench vise, then removed packing flange bolt and packing gland to remove the packing. 5. Removed the pins to remove the ball.
Ball Valve Re-assembly
1. Check all spare parts are correct.
2. Assemble Ball valve to shaft. 3. Insert PIN (check PIN size it satisfies fit to disc PIN hole). 4. Install packing, wiper, packing flange, stud bolts and nuts. 5. Install seal ring and retainer. 6. Check the valve correct rotation manually. 7. Test required permissible leakage as per specification sheet. 8. Install all accessories.
