 The learning objectives follow the SMART strategy.


 The content and the activities are appropriate for the students in that
grade level.
 The teaching materials needed for the lesson are listed in the lesson plan.
 The procedure in the lesson plan follows the 4A’s Model (Activity,
Analysis, Abstraction, Application)
 The activities and the learning objectives are align.
 Assessment of learning to the students is present in the lesson plan.

PROCESSING: 1 & 3 (pp. 94)


1. What developmentally appropriate learning principles and strategies are
observed in class?
 A responsive and respectful interaction between the learner and the
teacher.
 Encourage active learning through participation.
 Allow the learners to experience things “hands on” to embrace a more
active and collaborative role in their own learning.
 A fair learning environment for the learners despite of their cultural and
family background by giving them attention same as others.
 Hearing what the students saying.
 The teacher giving specific feedback to the learners.
2. How do the developmentally appropriate teaching practice improve the students’
learning ability?

Developmentally appropriate teaching practice improves the students’ learning


ability by ensuring that the activities, learning styles, and strategies is aligned to
their interests, skills, characteristics, and needs. This principles will help the
students to hone their abilities because the teachers take into account each
learners ongoing development and learning.

REFLECTION: 2 & 4 (pp. 95)


1. I believe that planning and management is crucial for the teachers in the teaching
and learning process. Planning, managing, and designing special educational
lessons and strategies to make a responsive classrooms that are ready to
address the individual interests, needs, and natures of each learners are very
important. Additionally, I believe that teachers should follow the principles of
developmentally appropriate learning when making and implementing instruction
to have a successful and effective instruction for various types of learners.

2. When I become a teacher, I will promote a positive classroom environment for


the learners. In order to achieve this, I will considered the principles of
developmentally appropriate learning when making and implementing instruction
in which I will adhere to the needs, and interests of the learners. Also, I will use
learning strategies that develops creativity and critical thinking of the students.
Moreover, I will observe professionalism in handling learners’ behaviour.
