PANGAN BSED FILIPINO 3

PROCESSING 1-4 (pp. 123)

1. What will happen if the teacher uses the same assessment strategy every day?
Students will become bored if the teacher consistently utilizes the same assessment
strategy. This is the reason why many students lose interest in and focus on their
studies. This type of approach is completely ineffective for improving students' cognitive,
emotional, and psychomotor learning.

2. Which of the three assessment strategies has been used more often in class?
Why do you think so?
In the classroom, the formative assessment has been employed more frequently. After
discussing the lessons, our teacher gives a long quiz every Wednesday. This long quiz
will help in our self-awareness of our progress and motivate them to evaluate our own
learning.

3. In your own opinion which of the three assessment strategies is the most
important? Explain your answer.
Summative assessment, in my opinion, is the most important of the three because it will
enable teachers to assess whether their students are meeting expected learning
standards or making sufficient academic progress, which will allow them to make
adjustments to their teaching methods, lesson plans, or instructional materials the
following time a lesson or unit is taught.

4. How does assessment improve the student’s learning and the teachers’
performance?
Assessments help students learn better by honing on the three domains of cognitive,
emotional, and psychomotor learning, which will lead to the students' holistic learning
and growth. Additionally, assessment enhances teachers' effectiveness by assuring
correct procedures in developing, planning, and implementing effective teaching and
learning strategies.

REFLECTION 11-4 (pp. 128-129)

1. I realized that a key component of good quality education is the monitoring and
evaluation of student development and success. In order to plan lessons and
give students feedback on how they are doing, teachers need keep track of their
students' learning.

2. I believe that “questioning students during classroom discussions to check their

understanding of the material being taught” is a useful tip for keeping track and
assessing students' development and accomplishment. The connection between
the teacher and the students is the most crucial aspect of the classroom for the
students to learn fundamental skills or to engage in higher-order thinking.

3. I feel that when teachers evaluated their pupils' progress and realized that they
had achieved the highest or passing grades, they felt fulfilled. In order for him or
her to go on to the following instructional objectives, they believed their
instruction was satisfactory or acceptable.

4. When I become a teacher, I will track and analyse my pupils' learning progress
and achievement by giving them tests, marking them correctly, and recording
their results. Additionally, I will permit one-on-one interactions with students to
discuss their work in order to provide quick feedback that will help them learn.
Moreover, by keeping track of and evaluating the progress of the students, I can
determine whether or not my strategies and teaching strategies are effective.
