I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

In a period of 1 hour, students are expected to:

Knowledge: Identify the features, models and barriers of communication.


Skills: Practice effective communication skills.
Attitude: Reflects on how to use communication effectively.

III. PRESENTATION/PROCEDURE
A. Motivation

Activity 1
PROPEL- PROJECT WORDS
MEMORY TEST
Directions:
1. Group yourselves into 5 groups.
2. Read a list of words to the students to test their memory.
3. Instruct the students to listen carefully as they cannot write down any of the
words.
4. Test the students to see how many of the words they can remember.
5. Repeat each of the following words slowly, pausing briefly between each word:
 Dream
 Sleep
 Night
 Mattress
 Snooze
 Sheet
 nod
 tired
 insomnia
 blanket
 alarm
 nap
 snore
 pillow
6. Let the students write down as many words as they can remember from the list.

PROPEL-SORT WORDS

With the same group, perform a five minute presentation of your favorite scene from an
English movie, Tv series or Musical play. The choosen scene should show one or more barriers
to communication lead to miscommunication. You have 20 minutes to plan and organize.
