1. High Inflation rate due to change in Price of wheat, Sunflower and Oil crude.

Tanzania
experiencing price shocks and disruptions in the supply chain of these commodities since war
outbreak in Russia and Ukraine as they are major exporters. The disruption of oil prices on the
world market is expected to lead to an increase in fuel prices and higher costs of food production.
2. The sanctions imposed on Russia by Western Countries will further make worse commercial
flows between Russia and Tanzania due to the closure of vital port operations in the Black Sea.
Russia is one of the world’s biggest exporters of fertilizers and this will be affecting Tanzania
Agriculture sector. Concerns are growing that a worldwide shortage of fertilizer will lead to rising
food prices.
3. Tanzanian People and Students living in Ukraine caught in the war in Ukraine, experienced
racism and discrimination while seeking safety from the violence.
4. Tourism Sector, Tanzania economic are linked to Russia and Ukraine through tourism. Therefore,
the war affected tourism sector.
