we are working on a study entitled, “THE LIVED EXPERIENCES OF VICTIMS OF CYBERBULLYING
IN BAGUIO CITY”. While it is true that this study is a requirement for us to graduate from our
course, we intend to continue help in ways to address current issues besetting the community.
This study is being conducted to understand their experiences as victims of cyberbullying in
hopes of providing policy makers an in-depth understanding of their circumstances to prevent
and reduce its recurrence. Further, this study may serve as a basis to springboard policies and
frameworks addressing such phenomena.
The information you provide will determine the manner how the interview will be
conducted. The interview will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. The information collected
may not benefit you directly, but the information learned in this study should provide more
general benefits to you and the community.
The data collection conducted follows ethical procedure wherein your identity will be
considered anonymous. The confidentiality of personal information about you will be strictly
observed. This will assure you that no one will be able to identify you or associate your answers
to your identity. Likewise, no data be published or disseminated, no individual information will
be disclosed. This means that only the researchers can handle the sensitive information you will
reveal and no other person, not even the member of the panel and adviser, will know about
these.
Your participation in this study in voluntary. You are free to decline to answer to
participate in case you do not wish for any reason. Should you wish to withdraw from this
study, you may verbalize your intent to the researcher and/or return the unfinished
questionnaire.
In case of an injury or any health-related concerns during the data gathering, the
researchers will assist the participant to the nearest clinic or medical facility.
