‘The given area belongs to an investor who will construct a small industrial factory shown in the figure.
The factory contains a main building with span B1. height Hl, crane P ton capacity and two
administration buildings with equal spans B2. One of the administration buildings with height H2 is
used as a full height storage area, The other one is containing a mezzanine floor with height 3.00 m to
provide many offices in the upper floor, while the ground floor is used as a small exhibition for the
factory products with height 4.00 m. The main dimensions of the different parts of the factory are
given in the attached table.

An industrial complex for brick production is to be constructed as shown on the given drawings. The
factory is containing two adjacent buildings for the working area with unequal spans B1 and B2. The
two buildings are covered with two overhead cranes of capacity P ton along length L = 48 m of the
longitudinal direction of the factory with required column spacing S. The factory is to be extended
with length 2*S for the offices. Minimum height H is required for the two buildings of the working
area. The main dimensions of the factory are given in the attached table,AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY FOURTH YEAR CIVIL
