 Generally, impression material includes Polyvinyl is well-suited for this.
- Procedure
1. Put impression material on the Bite plate and make a bite index.

A. Making bite index :

1) Locate the center of arch at the red arrow as shown in the picture
below.
2) Chew the bite plate as deep as possible to locate incisor in the very
front of bite plate as shown in the picture below.

2. Select mode in PapayaOP and click “Confirm”

3. Install Bite index to CUST unit.
A. Remove Bite block and temp support and install CUST unit.

B. Install CUST unit according to arch position (Maxillary or Mandibular)

as shown in the picture below.

4. Locate bite index for each parts of acquired x-ray image.

A. Keep the part perpendicular to the mid-sagittal laser.

5. Patient positioning
 A. Please be informed and study functions of buttons at CUST mode.
B. At CUST mode, the function of buttons are different at the
panoramic/cephalo mode.

During the button being pressed, gantry is moving.

Thus, the patient can be in to bite the bite index or can be out
after exposure.
To move the gantry for laser positioning.

To check if the gantry interferes patient before CUST exposure.

During the button being pressed, gantry is moving.

C. If there is not enough space when you expose “Left jaw”, please press

(Changing detector) button and let the patient in.

D. Lay the patient’s teeth on the bite Bite index.

E. Check if the gantry interferes patient before CUST exposure.
(Do not skip)

i. Press the buttons (Forward/Backward) and the

gantry moves to the possible location of maximum interference.

ii. Please be careful to check interference because the gantry can touch
the patient.
iii. Please inform that there might be interference from gantry to the
patient and make him/her feel easy during exposure.
F. If interference comes out while the D procedure that can’t process to
exposure, make Bite index in appropriate position and check it again.

i. First, Press a button of detector change so that the patient

can be out. At this time the patient interference can come up so let
him/her move over very carefully.

ii. When you push the laser button , the gantry will move so that

Bite index can make a right position.

iii. After procedure of 4, Please adjust the Bite index position and restart.
6. You can exposure and check the scout image by pressing the Ready button
A. Please check again, there is a part which you want to exposure in right
position.
B. If the position is wrong, return to the procedure of 4 and do it again.
7. You can process to exposure of CUST image by pressing the Ready button
from the scout resulted image.

A. You have to press the X-ray switch while taking 10 pictures and each
shot takes 3 seconds
8. Image procession will be started after finish the exposure, Within 2
minutes the CUST image and the Scout image will be shown together.
9. After you choose the position of section, Press the SAVE button so that
resulted image can save the TRIANA. You can check every section anytime
from TRIANA.
