MODULE 3- PREPARATION STAGE

Skill-building activities
1. Write an essay explaining your risk stratification and the exercise intensity that fits your
classification.
 I am at low risk stratification. I have no signs/symptoms of or no diagnosed cardiovascular,
pulmonary and/or metabolic disease. I am safe to begin exercising without further assessment and
exercise supervision is not necessary. However, to keep myself balance, I always set my
limitations to avoid my body collapsing. Not because I do not have any health issue doesn’t
always mean that I don’t have to limit myself. Staying fit also can help me avoid any diseases and
having a proper meal. When I think that I reached my limit, I always pause and make myself
relax to keep my body in rhythm. I also encourage others to drink vitamins to keep their selves
immune from diseases.
2. Record your baseline anthropometric measurements that include:

a. Weight in kilogram
b. Height in meter
c. Body mass index= weight in kg divided by the square of the height in meter
d. Waist circumference in centimeter
BMI Formula: BMI= kg/m2 / BMI= weight (kg) ÷ height2 (meters)

Lesson Wrap-Up
3. As a students, how important to you having a good and healthy lifestyle?
 Having a healthy lifestyle is always a MUST. We cannot do normal things when we have
poor health. We cannot enjoy doing things we love. We always limit ourselves due to poor
lifestyle. So, as early as now, you have to live a healthy lifestyle to enjoy the things you want
to last.
