CDGC DISCIPLINARY RULES

PLACEMENT & INTERNSHIP CYCLE 2022-23

B-TECH. PLACEMENT POLICY

1. All students can accept two offers of placement subjected that the second is of higher tier
only as per CDGC Procedures and Rules in lieu of Y factor. This include offer through PPO also.
In no case second offer can be of same or lower tier.

2. The students are allowed to sit for any number of companies if he/she fulfils the eligibility and
tier criteria, until they get an offer.

B-TECH. INTERNSHIP POLICY

1. CDGC offers its student SINGLE internship policy on Campus (this can be of any duration) but
any internship of less than 16 weeks duration will not be considered for academic evaluation.

2. Students cannot reject the On-Campus internship offer for which he/she participates and gets
selected. If they leave On-Campus Internship they will be debarred from the coming Placement
Session with other immediate disciplinary consequences. Only confirmed and exceptional higher
study offers may be considered as one time exception.

ABSENTEEISM POLICY

1. For absenteeism in any test, interview or any selection process which an applicant has to
attend as part of a company’s recruiting procedure the following minimum penal action
would apply:

2rd Occurrence Debarment from next two eligible companies *

Black-List from Placement Cycle + Fine to be adjusted in


3rd Occurrence college dues/ Consequential Action as recommended by
Head, CDGC.

INTERVIEW:

1st Occurrence Debarment from next two eligible companies **

2nd Occurrence college dues/ Consequential Action as recommended by
Head, CDGC.

* Debarment from the next two eligible companies. However, the student is allowed to
appear for the company he/she has already applied for.
** The student will also be removed from the 2 companies he/she has already applied for.

2. A student will be unblocked from the placement cycle (in case of debarment) only after
the whole fine has been paid.

3. If a student is absent in the PPT of company he/she showed interest in, without any
written intimation to the CDGC, he/she shall be fined and blocked from the process of
next two companies he/she is eligible for (as stated in 9.i.).

Note: Any absenteeism from the process at any stage requires prior approval of Head, CDGC at
least 24 hours before the process.

GENERAL RULES

1. Students are expected to behave with the companies in a courteous manner and should
not argue with the recruiters and maintain decorum even under provocation.
2. No discussion with the recruiters regarding selections/selection process should be done.
3. If there are any behavioural problems from the recruiter’s side that students face, kindly
inform the CDGC office immediately. Do NOT take any action from your end.

4. No student is allowed to back out from the Placement/Internship Process once he has
applied for the company’s recruitment drive or at any later stage of the recruitment
process. If any such case is found then serious action according to the absenteeism
policy will be taken against the defaulter.

5. The students are required to be compulsorily dressed up in proper formal attire for all
processes.

Following dress code needs to be followed.

a. Boys: Collared shirt, formal trousers, and formal shoes, no accessories except leather
belt and wrist watch.

b. Girls: Formal trousers or formal knee length skirt, plain button-down shirt, closed toe
shoes with moderate heels.

Important Note :

If OfflineTest is scheduled as a part of a process, candidates need to bring their fully charged
laptops, there will be no charging port available at the venue, so kindly keep a sanity check
for same

Anyone who is traced for indulging in any sort of cheating and mischievous act during any
part of process, will be liable to disciplinary action from CDGC, as per gravity of situation,
office can debarred the students from sitting in multiple companies, whole
placement/internship cycle and also disciplinary strikes over your academic degree, so kindly
stick to professional ethos while sitting in company
