Job Description
1. · To instruct and supervises safety issues in all activities on site.
Supervise subcontractors and team at site regarding the safety issues.
2. · Prepare HSE plan for sites
3. · Work with the site managers in order to execute the safety plan
4. · Inspect all sites activities works, tools and equipment, verify that it
is done according the safety regulations
5. · Responsible for approving all subcontractors’ safety plans and verify
that all employees will participate in safety trainings
6. · Inspect industrial accidents and safety mishaps
7. · Regular reporting to the Operations manager
8. · Any specific task assigned by the GM
9. · Contractual requirements for the H2S trainer are defined, however
it is anticipated this function
10.· additionally act as a liaison for HS&E matters to the BHIO HS&E Field

Qualifications

1. Job Purpose:
To provide input and support for the safe conduct of work by personnel
associated with the shutdown activities, provide advice to all personnel during
execution of work activities, assist with pre-job start meetings, ensure that work
force are aware of emergency procedure, support shutdown safety team in line
with the SHE safety plan.

Technip, Wood Group. Talisman and Wormald Tyco.
The division has offices at various strategic locations throughout the world
including London, Houston, Aberdeen, Lagos, Doha, Singapore and 5 offices
throughout Kazakhstan.
Safety officer should adhere to laws and legal policies in the organization, as they
are well versed with health and safety needs and procedures, their duty is to
ensure that everyone act in accordance with laws. In case of any misconduct/
activities found in an organization that may lead to a major accident, to avoid
such things the primary thing one the safety officer should do is speak up to
employees and implement.
Auditing and Inspection
Auditing and inspection in Health Safety Environment are vital terms that has
great impact in any organizations. Safety officer do conduct inspections on regular
basis to identify potential hazards, making sure whether the workers follow safety
procedures in their jobs and so on. Safety officers additionally perform safety
audit in organizations in compliance with the company’s policies and standards
that keep organization in safe zone and to avoid penalties.

Incident Command team. This includes ensuring that all team members are aware
of any potential hazards and that everyone understands the safety procedures in
place.
7. The safety officer is responsible for ensuring that the workplace is safe and
compliant with health and safety regulations. They participate in planning
meetings to identify any health and safety concerns inherent in the operation’s
daily work plan. The safety officer works closely with the management team to
develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
8. The safety officer is responsible for reviewing the Incident Action Plan for safety
implications. He or she must identify potential hazards and determine what
measures need to be taken to mitigate those hazards.
9. To investigate accidents that have occurred within their assigned incident
areas. This may include interviewing witnesses, reviewing security footage, and
gathering other evidence. The goal is to determine what happened and why, so
that future accidents can be prevented. When an accident occurs, the first step is
to ensure that everyone involved is safe and receiving medical attention if
necessary. Once the scene is secure, the safety officer will begin their
investigation. They will interview witnesses, review security footage, and collect
other evidence to help piece together what happened.
10. To ensure preparation and implementation of the Site Safety and Health Plan
(SSHP). The safety officer coordinates all site safety and health activities, including
site inspections, accident investigations, safety training, and hazard abatement.
11. To ensure that the site is a hazard-free environment. This includes inspecting
the premises for potential hazards, such as trip hazards or electrical wiring that
could pose a shock risk.
13. The safety officer is responsible for leading all efforts to enhance safety on the
project. This includes developing and implementing safety policies and
procedures, conducting safety training, and investigating accidents and incidents.
The safety officer also works closely with the project manager to ensure that
safety is considered in all aspects of the project.
