Access process to Covisint 10/01/2020

1. Submit a request through idM

Please contact your user administrator and request for user creation and role assignment by
providing the following information:
a) Your Bosch user ID e.g. “ACM1DE”
b) The target system: “MPEC_Covisint”
c) Your requested role(s) e.g. “COVISINT-JLR_BASIC_GLOBL_ALL_W” for basic
access and “COVISINT-JLR_Purchase Order Documents_SUS” for access to the
additional sub-application SUS
d) Reason of request
The user administrator will then place your request into idM. After your request has been
approved by the parties involved, you will receive a confirmation by email with your Covisint
user ID and password.

Who is your user administrator?

As the below screenshot shows, the information can be found on the idM page https://rb-
im.bosch.com/BOAWeb/pages/start/menu.xhtml under Configuration > Configure
organizations > type in your organization shortcut e.g. “JL/SOI” > Assign organization roles.

What is my requested role(s)?

Please have a look at the attached PDF file that shows you an overview of roles available in
Covisint. Alternatively, the overview can also be found on to the idM page https://rb-
im.bosch.com/BOAWeb/pages/start/menu.xhtml under IT Role Catalog > Name: Covisint-
JLR; Target system: MPEC_Covisint > Search.

The role “COVISINT-JLR_BASIC_GLOBL_ALL_W” provides you with a general access to

the JLR Supplier Portal and is therefore mandatory. This role automatically includes
authorization to specific sub-applications for data against your home location code. The
below screenshot on the left list all included authorizations. For access to other site codes
within these sub-applications, please get in touch with your contact at JLR. Other colleagues
in your department having this access already may be able to help you further, too.
Sub-applications already included in the Other sub-applications not included in the
mandatory, basic role “COVISINT- mandatory, basic role “COVISINT-

b) You will now be asked for a Security Question. When you are logging into Covisint
for the first time, the answer of the security question will be the same as the
question. Therefore, please enter the question as it is into the answer box and click
Submit.

However, subsequently, if you need to reset your password, you can still use the same
question / answer unless you set it differently in your account settings.

c) On clicking Submit, your password will be reset to an 8 digit code – the first 4 digits
of this code will be shown to you in the next screen. The remaining 4 digits will be
sent to you by email. Once you have received the email, please join the two codes
and use that as a temporary password to log into your account.
