APJ Abdul Kalam

was born on October 15, 1931 in Jainurabdin and Asianma. His father is a ship owner and
his mother is a housewife. His family's financial situation was not good, so he started
helping his family at an early age.

He graduated from Madras Institute of Technology in his 1955 and St. He graduated from
St. Joseph University in Tiruchirappalli in Aerospace Engineering. After graduating, he
joined the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Aeronautical
Development Base as Chief Scientist. He was honored as director of the project to build
India's first indigenous satellite launch vehicle (SLV III). It was his ultimate support that
brought nuclear power to India. In July 1992 he was appointed Scientific Advisor to the
Ministry of Defense of India. As State Counselor, he played a key role in the world-famous
Pokran II nuclear test. He received the Padma Bhushan Award in 1981, the Padma
Vibhushan Award in 1909 and the 'Bharat Ratna', India's highest civilian award, in 1997 for
his outstanding contribution to the modernization of India's defense technology. .

He served as President of India from his 25th July 2002 until he was 25th July 2007 and
became famous among Indians and attracted a lot of attention from Indian youth. He
became popular as the nation's president. After leaving office, Karam worked as a
professor, president and assistant at many institutions. On the night of July 27, 2015, he
suffered a severe cardiac arrest, passed out and died two hours later. In 1999 Callum
published an autobiography and a book titled The Wings of Fire. He has written many other
books that are useful for people of all ages.
