Project Report
Project Description:
This project aims to make and solve and simulate both a beam and
truss problems using online software (skydive) to analyze the
reactions forces and truss members and determine the shear force
and bending moment’s diagrams of the beam’s structure.
In this project, we will design both using the simulation and
manually.
Our truss structures
Simulation:
As we can see we have the red member as compression (-) and the
blue one as tension (+), and in total, we have 7 members and 5
joints.
And for the reaction forces, we used one pin support and one roller
support which gives us three rection forces, but we take the reaction
force at the x-axis as zero.
For the design, we didn’t want to go over the top also we were
limited on the site because it has a limited number of members

Our beam structure
In the beam, we used two supports one pin and the other one is a
roller, and we used distributed load and one point load, the design
looks simply but the trick is finding the maximum bending moment
which might be harder than other beam designs that

discussion
A beam is a type of structural element designed to resist bending.
The truss beam is a popular component of bridges because of its
efficient use of materials. On the other hand, A truss can be thought
of as a skeleton of straight bars with a particular type of connection.
beam and truss structure is crucial in our real-life because nearly all
of our homes and bridges are beams and truss structures with each
other, and knowing how to calculate and design the structure is a
great skill to have for an engineering person, not to mention is the
importance of these lessen when building things that might get
people in danger so knowing where the force and bending moment
apply would save a life if it is done right and prevent accidents
