COME NOW the parties to this matter who, for their Joint Notice of Settlement & Motion
1. Since the filing of the original complaint in this matter, the defendant, through the City
Attorney’s Office, has worked diligently to provide the requested public records.
2. In an effort to resolve this matter, end the litigation, and free up the City Attorney’s Office
to continue working through the backlog of AFOIA requests that it inherited when it took
3. Pursuant to the settlement agreement, the defendant will pay the plaintiff $8,600.00 under
a. All issues involved, or that could be involved, in the litigation will be deemed
resolved;
b. Among the allegations made in the litigation, issues that relate to the production of
records involved with LITfest that are a part of the litigation are finally resolved;
4. This settlement was approved by a vote of the Little Rock Board of Directors on Tuesday,
5. Based on this approved settlement agreement, this litigation is now complete, and the
parties jointly move this Court to dismiss this matter with prejudice.
6. Concurrently with this motion, the parties have submitted a proposed order of dismissal,
which they respectfully request that this Court sign and enter of record so that this litigation
may conclude.
