The five knowledge of language are:

2. Describe each.

1. Phonological knowledge – is the ability to work with sounds in spoken language, sets
the stage for decoding, blinding, and ultimately, word reading. Phonological knowledge
begins developing before the beginning of formal schooling and continues through third
grade and beyond.

2. Semantic knowledge – refers to the general knowledge and features that make up
concepts that people have acquired and abstracted from their experiences. Is the
aspect of language that involves word meaning and word labels. This is important as it
widens your child’s vocabulary.

3. Syntactic knowledge – is the knowledge of how words can combine in meaningful


sentences, phrases, or utterances it involves the way that words are assembled and
sentences are constructed in a particular language.

4. Morphemic knowledge – involves understanding how morphemes can be used to


form words. The spilling of longer words requires students to identify and put together
the necessary morphemes.

5. Pragmatic knowledge – is the knowledge of different ways in which language is used


in different settings and for different purposes.

3. What is the importance of knowing the five knowledge of language in teaching


the mother tongue?
The importance of knowing the five knowledge in mother tongue is
makes it easier for children to pick up and learn other languages and
helps a child develop their critical thinking and skills.

1. Gain attention –ensure the learners are ready to learn and participate in activities
by presenting a stimulus to capture their attention.

2. Inform learner of objectives – inform student of the objectives or outcomes for


the course and individual lessons to help them understand what they are expected
to learn and do.

3. Stimulate the recall of prior knowledge - helps students make sense of new
information by relating it to something they already know or something they have
already know or something they have already experiences.

4. Present the stimulus material –use strategies to present and cue lesson content
to provide more effective instruction. Organize and group content in meaningful
ways, and provide explanations after demonstration.

5. Provide learning guidance – advise student of strategies to aid them in learning


content and of resources available, in other words, help student learn how to learn.
6. Elicit performance – have students apply what they have learned to reinforce
new skills and knowledge and to confirm correct understanding of course concepts.

7. Give feedback – provide timely feedback of students performance to assess and


facilitate learning and to allow students to identify gaps in understanding before it is
too late.

8. Assess performance –test whether the expected learning outcomes have been
achieved on previously stated course objectives. Implement a variety of assessment
methods to provide students with multiple opportunities to demonstrate proficiency.

9. Enhance retention transfer to new situation – help learners retain more


information by providing them opportunities to connect course concept to potential
real-world application.

3. What is the importance of knowing the nine events of instruction?


The importance of knowing the nine events of instruction can helps you
build a framework to prepare and deliver instructional content while
considering and addressing conditions for learning. Ideally, you should
prepare course goals and learning objectives before implementing the
nine events, the goals and objectives will help situate the events in their
proper context. The nine events of instruction can be modified to fit both
the content and students level of knowledge.

1. What is Republic Act 10157?


The republic act no. 10157, also known as the kindergarten education act,
makes kindergarten the first stage of compulsory and mandatory formal
education. Deped view the institutionalization of kindergarten as a key
move in implementing the administration`s flagship k-12 (kindergarten to
12) program, which extends the basic education cycle from 10 years to 12.

2. What are its provisions?


10157 entitled “An Act Institutionalizing the Kindergarten Education Into
the Basic Education System and Appropriating Funds Therefor,” otherwise
known as the “Kindergarten Education Act.”

3. What is Republic Act 10533?


10533 (RA 10533), otherwise known as the Enhanced Basic Education
Act of 2013, has expanded the years of schooling in basic education from
10 years to 12 years. In school year 2018-2019, an additional 2 years
representing Grades 11 and 12 will be introduced in the basic education
system through senior high school.
4. What are its provisions?
Act refers to Republic Act No. 10533, entitled “An Act Enhancing the
Philippine Basic Education System by Strengthening Its Curriculum and
Increasing the Number of Years for Basic Education, Appropriating Funds
Therefor and for Other Purposes,” otherwise known as the “Enhanced
Basic Education Act of 2013.”
5. What do you think is the importance of the Republic Act 10157 & 10533?
The importance of the republic act 10157 10157, also known as the
