Emotional Development • This child identified different emotions by drawing faces of what those feelings might look like. They
didn’t express their emotions but recognized how they felt and how others felt.
Mathematics • This child counted to 10, and recognized circles, squares, and triangles. They recognized all colors.
Communication and Language • This child would communicate with their teachers what they wanted to do, their thoughts, and pre-
dictions. They also followed directions.
Reading and Literacy • This child identified different letters and could sing along to the ABC’s. They listened to and showed
interest in books that were being read to the class. They turned book pages when reading with a
teacher.
Science and Inquiry • This child explored materials throughout the classroom, they would predict what would happen in a
book or when mixing colors. They asked questions and observed how materials in the classroom
looked.
Fine Motor • This child grasps onto small materials, puts puzzles together, and when they held writing utensils,
they used the Digital Grasp.
Large Motor • This child balanced, threw balls, ran and jumped. They explored outside by running around and sled-
ding.
