operates particularly in the field of wireless communications, cable television,
telephone and internet connectivity with significant additional telecommunications
and mass media assets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Tool – Control-M (GUI & CUI)
• Activities in Mainframe – Monitoring Jobs, Reporting Abends, Fixing
Abends, Spool Monitoring, System Health checks, Handling tickets and
Monitoring alerts in Console.
• Schedule changes for Jobs will be done in a day to day process.
• Performing Adhoc Requests.
• Ensure Regions should meet their SLA before new day process.
• Service Now tool is used for transferring job abend tickets to their respective
teams.
• Monitoring Console alerts actively using SAIOM rp2client standalone tool.
• Monitoring the ASPEN checklist tool.
• Monitoring the background tasks and devices status.
• Control-M(GUI) used for monitoring the batch flow and job failures and
Control-M(CUI) used to take actions like Rerun, Force complete,
Hold ,Bypassing IN-Criteria and Bringing backout jobs into schedule.
• Using SDSF we monitor the active jobs SIO & excp-cnt, Cancelling the jobs,
purging the inititors, checking system logs in log and user session logs(Ulog)
used for issuing console commands
 • Recycling the CICS,IMS & MQ as per support Requirements.
• Performing Weekly WarmStart activity on Wednesday & Thursday and
ColdStart activity on Sunday.
• Performing System IPL process as per Change Requests.

• Making JCL changes as per the instructions provided by the support teams.
• Late job analysis, Analysing longrunning jobs and DCS hold jobs.
• Documenting daily Health check report, late jobs report as a daily process.
