4. Key Component-valve
Role:
Install on inlet pipe side. If the power knob is
turned to the Max/Min but the water
temperature is still too low/high, then adjust
the flow control valve to reduce the water
flow to get the required temperature.
This valve is built stainless steel filter and the
filter need regular cleaning to prevent
clogging.
This valve can not be used for pressure relief

purpose and can not be used for water sealing.

5. Key Component- Electronic Temperature Sensor
Electronic temperature sensor can

accurately detect the outlet water
temperature to avoid sudden water
temperature rises above 55 ° and
scald the user. When the
temperature lower than 40°C, the
heater will work normally.
It is more accurate, sensitive and

durable compare to competing
products as they are using
mechanical sensor.

Phase Analyzer
Phase Analyzer can identify below phenomenon。

1、no earth connection
2、No neutral line
Checking the power status in the customer home. 3、N L wrong connected
4、Earth line is with electricity.
1 Info. checking
Installer check the model No. on the invoice and model on the rating label to ensure
the consistency. If there is any discrepancy , please check with Midea sales units.
Model on invoice, carton and rating label should be the same.

2 Parts checking
 Appearances checking：
If there is scratches, deformation, dented on
the shell, cracking in the upper and lower
cover, water pipe skew.
 Accessories checking：check the variety of the accessories.
User manual, valve, shower set, hose.

3 Power checking Very important！
Require Tools: Universal meter, Test pencil, Phase Analyzer
Check the installation location of the power supply voltage, grounding wire requirements, wire gauge,
socket, fuse, meter
1, Voltage: universal meter turn to 750V ~ range should show 220V ~; considered qualified
2, Earthing connection: phase analyzer plugged into the socket, follow phase instrument lighting
instructions
3, Socket: independent one, no a separate switch or two-phase jack, prohibit any mobile outlet.
4 wire Specifications: I = W / U (current I = Power W / voltage U, according to the power of the product,
the cross-sectional area of the power cord to meet the current needs of specific reference to the next page.

4 Water Pressure Checking
The DSF85F model use the float

magnetic switch to control the
operation.
While the DSK45P5 model use the
water flow sensor to control the
operation, the working flow rate is
1.2L/min.
5 Installation Locating
The installation height for the heater

is generally 1.5m, the adult eye is
parallel with the control knob.
The socket or air switch is installed in

the height of 2m.

７ Pipe Installation
Two types of instant WH single-point and multi-point, different installation!!
The flow regulating valve: when

user rotate power knob on WH but
still can not get the required
temperature, the user can use this
valve to open a larger or smaller
water. (This valve can not cut
completely water off. To cut off the
water, please use on/off valve.)
Single-point(DSK) On /off Valve: switch water flow

to control WH on or off.
(DSK)：Do not install the on/off valve on the outlet pipe,

One way safety valve: When the
water pressure greater than
0.6MPa, the safety valve pressure
relief leaking, so as to protect the
water heater.
On /off Valve: switch water flow

8 Working Test
Require Tools ：Universal meter, Electroprobe。
 Waterrunningtest:Thereshouldbeinstalledthefilter
inthewaterinlettoavoidanyimpuritiesblockthe
waterflowswitch.Afterfinishinginstallthewaterroute
well,openthewatertap,whentheshowerhaveoutlet
water,blockofftheshowertoseewhetherthereis
anywaterleakageintheconnection.
 Electricityleakagetest：Useelectroprobeoruniversal
metertotestthecover,routeorotherpossibleplace
carefullytoavoidanyelectricityleakage.
Please ensure WH must be filled with water before connecting the power
to prevent the machine dry heating and damage machine.
9 Debugging
Require Tools ：Universal meter, Electroprobe
 Key-press test: Switch on the power, EARTH、ELCB

light is on, turn the knob clockwise, after 3s, the power is
on, the heater start to heating, pls adjust the suitable
power and water flow to get the suitable outlet water
temperature; And test to see the TEST、RESET、
ON/OFF、PUMP keys.
 Close the front cover：After test well, close the switch,
turn the know to the off place, screw up the cover.
Please ensure WH must be filled with water before connecting the power
to prevent the machine dry heating and damage machine.
10 Completion
Finally, clean up the construction site, complete the installation card delivered and
sign with user, educate the user how to get consulting and help if there is problem
happen in future.

Problem: Because of the magnetic core are stuck, causing

water stop but electricity is still on, at this time, the heater
will happen dry heating, thermal cut-out will work and the
heater will stop automatically.
Solution: 1. Check the magnetic core
2. Re-set ( test the voltage with universal meter.
Heating Problem
ELCB Electricity Leakage

3 checking Magnet
Problem: Do not work, the power light is off.
Solution: L and N should cross the electricity

leakage coil. The heater tests the leakage
current anytime, when the leakage current is
more tham 30mA, the heater will stop working.
Missing crossing or wrong crossing, or other
failure, the ELCB will not be ON.
