If you are deploying Forcepoint DLP Endpoint to an endpoint

machine running macOS 10.15 (Catalina), macOS 11 (Big Sur),

or macOS 12 (Monterey), follow the procedure in this article to

enable Full Disk Access for new Forcepoint DLP Endpoint

processes.

(Monterey), follow the procedure in this article to enable Full Disk Access for new Forcepoint DLP Endpoint processes.

Problem

When you install Forcepoint DLP Endpoint on macOS 10.15 (Catalina), macOS 11 (Big Sur), or macOS 12 (Monterey), Forcepoint DLP

Endpoint opens a dialog box asking the user to grant Full Disk Access to files that are required for Forcepoint DLP Endpoint to function. If
you are deploying Forcepoint DLP Endpoint using Jamf, follow the procedure in this article to ensure that Full Disk Access is enabled for

the new Forcepoint DLP Endpoint processes:

■ com.forcepoint.ep.ESDaemonBundle

■ EndPointClassi fier
■ com.websense.endpoint.helper

■ wsdlpd

NOTE If you are manually installing Forcepoint DLP Endpoint on a Mac endpoint machine, follow the procedure in the Forcepoint F1E

Resolution

1. Download the Forcepoint DLP Endpoint PPPC profile.zip file from this Knowledge Base article and extract out the Forcepoint DLP
Endpoint PPPC profile.mobileconfig file (signed or unsigned version).

2. Log in to your Jamf Pro server.


3. In the Jamf Pro server administration portal, go to Computers -> Content Management -> Configuration profiles, then click Upload.

4. Upload the Forcepoint DLP Endpoint PPPC profile.mobileconfig file extracted from step 1, then click Save.

5. After the mobileconfig file is uploaded successfully, select the Scope tab, then click Add to add one or more enrolled target (i.e.,
endpoint machine) to use this policy.

6. On the Add Deployment Targets screen, click Add next to each target that you want to enroll in the policy.

7. After all targets are added to the policy, click Save.


8. After you add the targets, return to the Configuration Profiles screen shown in step 5 above and verify that the policy is listed as
Completed for the enrolled targets. If any targets show a status of Pending, log out of the target and log in again until the status

shows Completed.

9. To verify that the profile loaded successfully on the target:


■ Open the Pro files file loaded successfully on the target,
preference page in the Settings application on the target. If the pro

then the Forcepoint DLP Endpoint PPPC pro file policy is shown:

■ Open the Privacy & Security settings page and verify that the following processes have been granted Full Disk Access:

■ com.forcepoint.ep.ESDaemonBundle

■ EndPointClassi fier
■ com.websense.endpoint.helper

■ wsdlpd

For reference, the Forcepoint DLP Endpoint utilizes the following Bundle IDs.

NOTE: This list is for reference. Full Disk Access is not required for the product to work.

macOS DLP Endpoint:

■ com.websense.endpoint.process.kpi (plugin extension)

■ com.websense.endpoint.process (plugin extension)

■ com.websense.endpoint.dlp

■ com.forcepoint.ep.ESDaemonBundle

■ com.websense.endpoint.helper

macOS Direct Connect Endpoint (DCEP):

■ com.forcepoint.endpoint.dc

macOS Proxy Connect Endpoint (PCEP):

■ com.websense.endpoint.proxy

The Team ID as of v8.5 is: C489D5E8E8

The latest ID can be con firmed by running the following command:


■ codesign -dv --verbose=4 /path/to/websense.helper.app

The general location of endpoint kexts is under ' /Library/Application Support/Websense Endpoint/ '.
