WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

First perform the communication function inspections in HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING to confirm
that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

HINT:

If a discharge headlight bulb's condition cannot be determined through a visual check, replace with a normally
functioning bulb or interchange the left and right bulbs and check its condition.
PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (HEADLIGHT LO)

(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)

(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

3. CHECK WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the windshield wiper switch with a new or normally functioning one .

(b) Check that the LO-beam headlight illuminates.

OK:

LO-beam headlight illuminates.

GO TO STEP 4

(b) Disconnect the L25 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

7. INSPECT ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 RELAY BLOCK


(a) Disconnect the 2A relay block connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

2A-1 - I-5 Always Below 1 Ω

2A-2 - I-6 Always Below 1 Ω

NG REPLACE ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 RELAY BLOCK

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 RELAY BLOCK - HEADLIGHT)

(a) Disconnect the 2A relay block connector.

(b) Disconnect the B1 or B11 light connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

for LH

for RH

2A-2 (FHLL) - B1-17 (LO) Always Below 1 Ω

B1-16 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

2A-2 (FHLL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

9. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY


(a) Remove the headlight assembly .

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

17 (LO) - 16 (E) Always Below 1 Ω

NG REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

OK

10. CHECK HEADLIGHT CONTROL ECU (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the headlight control ECU with a new or normally functioning one .

(b) Check that the LO-beam headlight illuminates.

OK:

LO-beam headlight illuminates.

NG REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT LIGHT ECU

OK END (REPLACE HEADLIGHT CONTROL ECU)

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
