Laboratory Analyst (Lube Oil Condition Diagnosis)


(Johor - Based in Technovation Park, UTM, Skudai)

Responsibilities: Operate computerised laboratory equipment to conduct tests on in-service lubricant samples, eg: Oil-Bath Viscometer, AES Spectrometer, FTIR Spectrometer, Titrators, Particle Counters, Ferrography, etc. Collate and interpret the test data to generate 'Lubricant Condition Report' and 'Equipment Condition Report' using LIMS. Maintain laboratory equipment with scheduled maintenance and calibration. Provide customer service and support on oil analysis services and reports. Dependent on organizational need and your performance, you may in the future be granted the opportunity to develop your portfolio with assignments as technical trainer/speaker on our Oil Analysis & Lubrication Maintenance Best Practices training courses. A conscientious and matured individual to join our growing team as a Chemist/ Laboratory Analyst. You enjoy working in a scientific laboratory environment and have a strong interest in On-field condition monitoring (Lube Oil Analysis). Degree in Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with an elective module on Machine Condition Monitoring, Oil Analysis or Vibration Analysis. Prefebly, member or Institut Kimia Malaysia. Laboratory work experience in a ISO17025 environement is an asset. Strong analytical skills with practical experience in operating computerised laboratory equipment for oil analysis.

Requirements:

Aptitude for high-power optical microscopy (upto 1,000x). Organised and careful, able to work independently under minimum supervision. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with good report writing skill. Hands-on experience in condition monitoring (Machinery Oil Analysis and/or Vibration Analysis), maintenance and servicing of in-plant machineries and mobile heavy equipment will be a strong asset.
