PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA) FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Narrative Report

‘Together we may give our children the roots to grow and the wings
to fly.’

Based from the DepEd Order No. 13, Series of 2022, the Malolos NHS
conducted its first PTA General Assembly last September 08, 2022 with the
following agenda:
1. DepEd’s Vision, Mission & Core Values, and Guidance Services
2. Clinic Services
3. Legal Basis for PTA Organization and State of the School’s Address
4. Election of School’s PTA Board Officers

The assembly was participated by the majority of the Grade 7, 8 & 9 parents
and guardians at around 8:00 o’clock in the morning held at Grade 12-St.
Michael’s room.

The first agendum was explained by Mrs. Jovey D. Doque in which she
emphasized the importance of DepEd mission, vision and Core values. She
reiterated in her discussion that the DepEd mission, vision and core values
serve as guide in doing the teaching and learning process. The teaching and
learning process must not only be confined between the teachers and the
students. Active engagement of the family (parents), community (barangay
officials), and other stakeholders is necessary to develop life-long learners.

It was followed by the discussion of the Clinic Services which was given by
Mrs. Jasmin Kerre U. Villarin, our School First Aid Teacher. The discussion
was very informative and the stakeholders listened attentively.

Dr. Elmalou L. Orandoy followed by discussing the legal basis for PTA
Organization. She restated that for Presidential position of the association,
only biological parents whom were chosen as presidents during the
homeroom PTA election are allowed to be elected as part of the PTA Board
Officers, unless guardians have the Special Power of Attorney issued by the
Supreme Court that he/she is the legal guardian of the student.

She continued in her speech for State of the School’s Address (SOSA) where
in she presented the list of priorities needed in the school with its
corresponding program.

Lastly, the election of PTA Board Officers which was voted by the 13
homeroom presidents and 21 teaching personnel. And the result were as
follows:
