Exemptions
Before you start filling the ‘Application Form’ please read the following explanatory notes. It will help you to understand the
questions and eventually help you to fill in the form.
When filling out this form please use BLOCK CAPITAL letters. If a question does not apply to you write ‘NA’. Write one
number or letter in each box. Write ‘X’ in appropriate boxes.
A. PROGRAMME CHOICE
Programme Code consists of four boxes. Boxes 1 & 2 are for writing the Programme. For example if you have selected the, “Diploma in
Technology” Programme you should write the code corresponding to “Diploma in Technology” Programme, that is DT, in the first two boxes
as shown below.

Boxes 3 & 4 are for writing the Specialisation. For example if you have selected the “Electrical Engineering” specialisation, you should write the
code corresponding to that specialisation, that is 03, in the boxes 3 & 4 as shown below.

Those who wish to register for Animal Husbandry and Aquaculture should state the programme code as CI and leave the boxes 3 & 4 blank.

Course Exemptions – Technology (Engineering) Programmes
Exemptions can be claimed for courses depending on the qualifications you possess. Given below are the qualifications for
which, you can claim exemptions from various courses. The details of the courses for which you can claim exemptions will be
available in the Student Guide book. You may also refer the Faculty of Engineering Web site.
If you have any other qualifications which are not listed below and you think that you may claim exemptions, please fill in
the exemption form attached herewith.
NDT (Agriculture) or, NDA or HNDA – Department of Technical Education and Training

Exemptions from the courses of Faculty of Natural Sciences
Those who possess the following qualifications would be exempted from some of the courses offered by the Faculty of Natural
Sciences as mentioned below. These exemptions are only applicable for the students registering for DIS/BIS (Agriculture)
Programme of study and credits of these courses are not counted towards the total credits requirements for the awards

(d) Hand book (Student Guidebook) of the Institution from which the qualification has been obtained.

• Please note that applicant should provide certified English translations, if the originals are in a
Foreign Language.
• If you apply for Evaluation of Qualifications, please remember to ask the registration counter if you have
been granted additional exemptions, when you come for registration
