Levels of Organization

One Pager Activity Directions


The One Pager activity is used to help you as you learn our science topics. It combines visual and textual
elements.

What you’ll need to complete your One Pager:

1 sheet of computer paper Markers and/or colored pencils

A ruler Your notes

Design: What should your One Pager look like?

 Your name should be written on the back of the paper.


 Use at least FOUR colors.
 Include at least FIVE images or drawings. Use images/pictures as much as you can, instead of, or
in addition to the words.
 Ideas should be organized and presented clearly.
 Use your best penmanship. Your work needs to be legible.
 Organize your One Pager so that it makes sense.
 Creativity is a MUST!

Include all 8 of the characteristics of life :

Cells - smallest unit of life


Tissue - cells that work together to perform a certain task
Organ  - system of tissues that work together on a larger scale to do certain jobs
Organ System - group of organs that work together to perform specific bodily functions.
Organism/Species – breed and produce fertile offspring
Population – belonging to the same species
Community – different populations that live together in a defined area
Ecosystem – all the living organisms in an area and the nonliving factors that affect them (biomes -
groups of ecosystems)
Biosphere – combined portions of the planet in which all life exists

 Your One Pager will be graded using the rubric on the back of this sheet.
 Your One Pager is a 2 daily grades.
