Family Nursing Problem: Unhealthy Lifestyle and Personal Habits Specifically Tobacco Smoking.

Goal of Care: After 3 hours of nursing intervention, the family will be able to recognize the
harmful effects of smoking.

Objectives: Within 3 hours of nursing intervention, the family will be able to:

1. Demonstrate interest, cooperation and participation throughout the whole length of


teaching-learning activity.
2. Recognize the problem as a health threat.
3. Develop an understanding of the harmful effects of smoking to own health as well as the
harmful effects of the second hand smoke to other individuals.
4. Increase own awareness on the importance of smoking cessation.
5. Recognize the benefits of smoking cessation in health and financial aspect.

INTERVENTIONS RATIONALE
