According to the Spanish
perspective, the idea of expelling Spain
is the idea of Filipinos by doing a
rebellion against them like spreading
propaganda, pamphlets, and the ideas
of the liberal thinkers in Europe
because at that time the liberal thinkers
were increasing and the educated
people were the ones who were
criticizing the government movement.
Jose Montero y Vidal says that there is
collusion with Filipino priests and the
enemies of Spain to make a plan of
rebellion against them. They claimed it
began with the Cavite Mutiny. It is said
that the Filipino priest plans to expel
the Spanish rule here in the Philippines
and assign the three priests to become
the new rulers in the Philippines. It is
also said that if they were to expel the
Spanish, the Filipinos would have a

Account)
According to Dr. Trinidad Pardo De
Tavera, the Cavite Mutiny is rooted in
the removal of privileges for workers at
the Cavite Arsenal, and it occurs during
that time. Pardo de Tavera blamed
Izquierdo for the mutiny because he is
too harsh and strict for the Filipino
army, particularly in the Cavite Arsenal.
Tavera stated that the government of
Spain and the friars created a situation
and said that it was a big plan of
rebellion against the Spanish. The
reason for this is that the priest and friar
wanted to stay in power because liberal
thinkers already had a negative
influence in Spain at the time. The friar
is afraid that their power in the
Philippines will be lost, so they are
using the Cavite Mutiny to ensure that
the Spanish Government will change its
mind about Spain and not continue the
reforms assigned to the Philippines,
according to Jose Montero y Vidal, is
already planned by the brilliant
Filipinos and priests to kick them out.
They think that the Virgin of Loreto is a
signal to begin a rebellion against
them, but they are mistaken about that
because it is part of the celebration of
the Virgin of Loreto in Sampaloc. To
make it simple, Jose Montero y Vidal's
perspective is concentrated against the
liberal thinkers of the Philippines.

2. What was the Cavite Mutiny’s significant aspect? How did this Mutiny come to be one
of the controversial topics in Philippine history?

On January 20, 1872, 200 Filipinos who took part in the Cavite Mutiny mounted a
brief uprising. employees and members of the armed forces at the Cavite arsenal, which
was used to defend Spanish rule against the developing Philippine revolution. Ironically,
the Spanish government's completion of the acquisition and their violent response help
the nationalist cause. Although the uprising was swiftly put down, the Spanish
authorities, under revisionist governor Rafael de Izquierdo, exaggerated the incident
and used it as an excuse to suppress Filipinos who desired political reform. These
incidents serve as a source of inspiration and a warning for Filipinos who want to voice
their own opinions against the government and other organizations that mistreat our
country and its citizens. Several intellectuals from the Philippines were detained and
accused of cooperating with the mutineers. We need to be aware of the appropriate
times to speak up and safe ways to do so because we run the risk of being falsely
accused, as the Three Priests were back then. In conclusion, I believe that the Cavite
Mutiny is still significant in today's culture because of how it impacted our values,
morals, and privileges.
3. Considering this event happened today, what do you think will affect our society?

If this event happens now, it will have an effect on many people. Since every
person has a unique point of view and a passion to write It will have advantages and
disadvantages for us. The bad news is that many people will be wounded and affected
by our country's troubles. The good news is that people will be valued for their job and
respected for their opinions. These incidents serve as both a source of inspiration and a
warning for Filipinos who want to voice their opinions against the government and other
institutions that mistreat their people.These incidents provide Filipinos who desire to
speak up against the government and other institutions that mistreat our country and its
people with both inspiration and a warning. I believed it was critical for us to understand
one another and that we should never condemn one another for the sake of a just
cause in order to have a beneficial impact on our society.
