Why use virtual manipulatives?
Virtual manipulatives provide students with
access to tools they need for learning without
having to locate hands-on resources, especially
if they might not be readily available.

It is easy to use and looks just like the real


representation of the tools.

Virtual manipulatives can include a variety of


tools such as money, base ten blocks, pattern
blocks, counting counters, and many more!

Some common tools are listed on the next


slides.
Spinners, Dice, and Cards

● These tools can be used


with any assignment.
● Quicker than passing
out the real
manipulatives.
● Can be used in a larger
number of people.
Virtual Number Lines
● Can be used to teach any grade level
math from counting to addition and
subtraction.
● Can be adjusted based on what you are
counting or blank for any number.
