The Hunger Games

Panem is a land split into 12 districts ruled by a corrupt government. Every year, two children from each
district are chosen to participate in a bloody competition called The Hunger Games as punishment from
the government. Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is from District 12, where the local population is
forced to break the laws in order to supply her friends and family with food. Katniss volunteers to
compete in The Hunger Games to save her sister, thus sparking her future as “The Mockingjay.”

Without social institutions, personal development would not take place to its fullest extent. It can be
difficult to meet our physical and emotional needs. There will be neither stability nor social security.

In this movie shows the severeness of poverty in the life of normal community. In that situation given
the scenario which even they know what is ahead along their way which is life threatening challenges,
they still go with it just to feed their family. Which commonly happen on poor families over the country.

By our development agencies, they lessen the difficulty of our lives by campaigning human rights and
aiding the need of a community such as addition of jobs and creating projects for those who need
seminars on jobs .

What do You Think?

For me, Extreme poverty and hunger should be the focus of these development agencies. It provide the
help on food problems and teach the proper way of building a family as if it could be the root of their
problems.
