BS PSYCHOLOGY MA’AM. ISABEL FRANCISCO RABACCA

SEATWORK 1:

1. What are two actions that you have done before which you considered and
classified moral standard?

The moral norm I classify is when I give food to strangers on the street when I see
them and helping others who may need anything but were also not knowledgeable of it. I
have to make judgments every day, some of which are difficult and others of which are
simple. When I discuss moral choices, I refer to the right and improper courses of
behavior. Morality is concerned with deeds and the results of deeds, motives, and human
nature. The moral standard encompasses both the values individuals place on the sorts
of things they believe are morally good and morally terrible, as well as the rules people
have regarding the kinds of activities they believe are morally right and wrong.

2. What are two actions that you have done before which you considered and
classified non-moral standard?
My own examples of non-moral standards are the times I neglect domestic duties
because I'm overloaded with work and the times I disregarded municipality rules and
regulations because I am a PWD. I do not believe that these instances represent moral
standards. When I refer to norms that have nothing to do with moral or ethical issues, I
mean that sometimes we broke them. These standards usually lack ethical sense by
nature or are not always connected to morality.
