I am charmed to present myself as Syed Muzammil Ali and I have always been fascinated by the
functioning of various Engineering aspects since my childhood. I observed that technology has been
changing significantly in every realm of life. However, ever-increasing demand of commodities leads to
greater opportunities in Quality Engineering field. Meanwhile in my professional experience, I
found that mechanical engineers are appointed to take a check on each and every process related to
product in every aspect. Anyone can establish a bright future if he holds a great knowledge in Quality control.
Especially in mechanical engineering it's a key to success. According to the Bureau of Labour Statistics,
the industrial engineering field is expected to grow by 10% between 2016 and 2026. This
projection is a slightly higher rate of growth than the average for all careers over this same decade, meaning
quality engineer is a career with great long-term potential. This patronized me study further in quality field.
Therefore, I am applying for Quality Engineering Management at Lambton College.

Educational Background and Work Experience
I passed my secondary education in the year 2016 securing 75% and my senior secondary education in 2018
securing 94.1% with the choice of subjects as Science from Pinnacle International School, Hyderabad.
Thereafter, I completed my graduation from Osmania University where I pursued Bachelors of Engineering
(B.E) in Mechanical Engineering. My undergraduate study in mechanical engineering established a strong
foundation of the basic concepts and led me to gain initial exposure to this field. My unwavering zeal helped
me to secure an 8.69 CGPA. During academics, I was also an active competitor in extracurricular activities.
I have attended many national conferences and worked in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) &
Robotics workshops.
In my graduation, I did internship at BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited) in October, 2021 as
Graduate Engineer Trainee. The company is into manufacturing of steam turbines and compressors as well
as Heat Exchangers. At BHEL, my work profile included production planning, calculating energy losses and
inventory control techniques. Making reports on complete process of Heat exchangers has also been a part
of my work process. I also worked as a trainee engineer during my third-year summer holidays at “Enewate
Projects Pvt. Ltd.” Under the guidance of Nalini Kant Sir (Regional Head – Hyderabad). The company is
into designing and fitting Waste Water treatment plants well as Sewage treatment plants. I acquire
knowledge of new technologies in sewage treatment and the different types of digestors and their functions.
At Enewate, my work profile included designing and drafting of sewage pipes system and also, I was into
the marketing and sales.
During my collegiate years, my participation in academic projects strengthened my scholastic rigour and
helped me grasp concepts better, paving the way for my professional endeavours. I did my major project on
Solar Refrigerator. The Title of the project is “Fabrication of Solar Refrigeration System”. The Project is
about design, analysis, and fabrication of a Portable Thermoelectric refrigerator. In this project, we build a
prototype of the thermoelectric refrigerator which uses both solar as well as direct electrical power supply.
The project has various applications like food preservation, military or aerospace, and medical and
pharmaceutical equipment. I was the team leader for this project. I also did my minor project on “Design
and Stress Analysis of Spur Gear”. The project is about the analyses of the bending stress characteristics of
an involute spur gear tooth under static load conditions. The tooth profile is generated using CATIA and
analysis is carried out by Ansys software. The stress at the tooth root was evaluated analytically using
existing theoretical models.
Reasons for selecting Quality Engineering Management
The Quality Engineering Management Ontario Graduate Certificate program provides individuals with the
knowledge and techniques to improve the delivery and quality of goods and services. Quality management may be
defined as the act of overseeing all activities and tasks needed to maintain a desired level of excellence. This includes
creating and implementing quality planning, assurance as well as control and continuous improvement. I got an insight
on areas of quality control during my work experience. My goal is to get in depth understanding and specialized
knowledge on quality management by pursuing Quality Engineering Management program at Lambton College. On
completion of the program, the graduate will be able to contribute to the role of creating value in an
organization and will be able to apply modern quality techniques and procedures to solve problems and
enhance the quality of goods and services, to eliminate waste and improve value to the end customer. The
principles examined in this program are applied to a wide variety of industries. It also includes skills
training that recognizes the needs of the traditional manufacturing base, and also provides the proficiencies
demanded by many technology-focused industries that mean I will gain profound skill of quality and utilize it in
quality filed Manufacturing sector and quality process are hand in glove activities. One major advantage of quality
engineering management at Lambton is the focus on subjects like Economics of quality. This subject deals with the
cost of quality which is a rare combination found with such course.

Reasons for selecting Canada

Canada offers a progressive education to help students take a leading place in the exciting global
environment, with many Canada working internationally or involved in collaborative research with many
prestigious overseas colleges. Students have access to more advanced education than they expecting for do.
Canada, famous for its amazing scenery, is a great country - a fun place to visit and a superb study
destination. These features are now enjoyed by more than 200,000 international students studying in Canada
at all levels of the education system.

Specific objective
On successful completion of this program, I can be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge,
skills and expertise. This program seeks to satisfy the rapid-changing demands in the manufacturing and
quality industry. I strongly feel that this course will emphasize that I will be able to receive updated and
specialized quality management skills reflecting ever changing industry needs and also adapt foundational
competencies for effective application of knowledge on the practical approach of continuous improvement
techniques. While learning this program my goal is to gain all the high-end mobile quality management
skills so that I will be able to work in a big company upon my return to India.
