This PEA Engineering Criteria


describes the design of the overhead
system which cover Low voltage
(LV), Medium voltage (MV) and
High voltage (HV) systems.

❑ LV : less than 1 kV
❑ MV : 22-33 kV
❑ HV : 115 kV

Main Equipments :
Pole, Insulator, Cable, Transformer, Surge arrester,
Dropout fuse cutout, Switches and Meter.

Minor Equipments :
Rack support, Tie wire, Connector,
Bolt - nut and washer.

Shape
Pole:
Pole is a polygonal shape (square
shape) and have hole along the pole length.
The advantage :
The device can be installed with easily
and the same level. To spray and mark the
number of pole is easy.

2. Used for the

for a distance exceeding 5 km

1 km and sub-branch lines not exceeding
5 km , Dropout fuse cutouts may be
installed of necessary such as there are
mant near the line

3. Dropout fuse cutouts should not be installed on
main lines but if necessary , it should be installed at
least possible
4. Dropout fuse cutouts shall not be installed on
main feeders before reclosers.

heavy load , may be considered to install as necessary

4. If there is no installation according to 1, they may be


installed on main lines or branch lines in every 20 km

1. Used for the distribution system which
is subjected to many temporary faults.
2. The fault current at that point should
not be greater than the maximum
interrupting capacity of recloser.

3. Installed on main feeders or branch lines which


exceed 10 km from substation.
Except that there are many fault on main line or
branch lines. In case it may be considered to
install recloser as necessary
