A NARRATIVE ANALYSIS

A survey tool contains details and profiles such as their name and others. The second tool is
demographic characteristics, family composition, and problems and solutions. Based on the
information we gathered from our group members, about the problems they have with
themselves and their communities, the problems they have with themselves are financial
problems and academic stress. And in the community, the main problem is flood calamities.

As individuals, we all have our problems in our community, and even among ourselves,
according to the survey we conducted, our problems are different; each member of our group has
problems that they need to be brave about and not give up because we all have things that need
to be fought for our futures to be good. Others have the issue of living distant from their families
and having to work very hard to provide for their needs due to their financial circumstances.
Also with academics, a lot of us experience drain and stress due to the requirements that need to
be passed on time. In their community, the problems we face are also different, just like the
unfairness faced by those who work in the barangay. Roads need to be fixed and drainage has to
be improved because instead of helping, it is causing floods in their barangay.

In our survey tool, one of the problems is Financial Assistance. One of the most common
problems that college students face is financial problems. Students are often exposed to all sorts
of financial problems, as students from primary to secondary school and so on. Some of these
problems include their self’s problems that can make their finances in trouble. Besides that,
background family play role in determining a student's financial, students who are from poor
family didn’t have money to help the student when they are in need. As a student, the solution to
the financial problem is to stop taking on debt and you can buy your needs for important matters
only. The other problem is Academic Stress. Academic stress is very common in students’ lives.
Many students assume that making the academic experience their priority now, will increase
their chance of success in the future. School is an important aspect of most teenagers lives and by
being so important a teenager can become depressed very effortlessly at school or because of
school.

SOLUTION TO THE INDIVIDUAL PROBLEM

Mostly, based on our survey tool, the solution to the individual problem which includes financial
difficulties and academic stress is to apply for government and NGO scholarships. Another
option is to find a part-time job to sustain student needs both in online and face-to-face classes.
To avoid depression, exercise regularly, socialize and be optimistic.

SOLUTION TO THE COMMUNITY PROBLEM

The solution to flooding which is the main community problem is unity. The government and
citizens must work together to formulate ways to prevent floods. Proper awareness must be
spread about the steps to take when floods occur. Warning systems must be set up so people get
sufficient time to save themselves. In addition, areas that are more likely to have floods must
have tall buildings above the flood level. Further, there should be an efficient system for storing
excessive water due to rain. This will prevent the overflowing of water. One of the most
important steps is to strengthen the drainage system. This can avoid water logging which will
prevent floods.
