APPETITIVE:
DESIRE
Based on the table-presentation and your analysis therefrom, what is the nature or kind
of existence human being has?
Every art and every soul, and similarly every action and purpose, may be said to
aim at some good. Hence, accordingly has been well defined as that at which all things
aim. But it is clear that there is a difference in the ends, for the ends are sometimes
reasonably, and sometimes results beyond the accordingly and reasonably matter.
Also, where there are certain ends beyond the actions the results are naturally superior
to the soul. Suppose it is true that in the sphere of action there is an end which we wish
for its own sake, and for the sake of which we wish everything else, and that we do not
desire all things for the sake of something else. Does it not follow that the knowledge of
this supreme good is of great importance for the conduct of life, and that, if we know it,
we shall be like good human being who have a mark at which to aim. We shall have a
better chance of attaining what we want to be just to working out our spirit and desire to
live on. But, if this is the case, we must try to understand, at least in outline, its nature,
and the purpose of human being to which it belongs.
Are there point of convergence or divergence as these parts of the soul operate
in him? Either of which, explain more.
Yes, there is point of convergence as part of the soul operate in each individual, the
appetitive part of the soul is the one that is accountable for the desires in people. It is
accountable for the effortless cravings required to stay alive like hunger, thirst, and for
pointless cravings like desire to over feed. The desires for essential things should be
limited by other sections of the soul, while illegitimate desires ought to be limited entirely
by other elements of soul. Appetitive which includes all our desires for various
pleasures, comforts, physical satisfactions, and bodily ease. Appetitive converge to
desire just to come together to similarly what is heavier and must be heavier than
something lighten up our life. Appetitive, the spirit was the last part and important in
bringing about balance between the desire and aiming things to come. Moreover,
insistence on the fact that the desire for a thing is neither for good nor for bad seems to
suggest that desire is good –indifferent. There is a possibility that desire has confused
the difference between wanting to do something and not wanting to do it, which are
reverses, with the difference between wanting to do something and wanting not to do it
which is not apparently reverse at all it is a natural state of human life that an individual
desires both to undertake something, and not undertake it.
If we human being has such kind of a soul, then how must we live?
Every living thing has ‘life essence’, but not necessarily a spirit and soul. Spirits
and souls have evaluated to the point where they are using higher forms of beings,
human and others life forms. Every living creature whether visible or invisible definitely
has a soul in them. It is because of the soul that we can feel the pain in this body. It can
contract and expand according to the kind of creature it is within. The soul of human is
the size of the human and the soul of an animal is the size of the animal. Mind well both
the souls are exactly the same, they have the same properties, the same qualities, the
same function and everything same, exactly identical but nevertheless they are two
different souls, as in in their existence. For humans, the soul is where we can feel the
pain if we prick ourselves that leaves the hair and the nails, except those two the soul
occupies our whole body.
