respectively. The discharge velocity is 7 m/s.

2. A blower operated by a motor with 59.7 kW has 25 rev/sec compresses air from atmospheric pressure and 68°F to 10 lb/𝑖𝑛2 gage.

3. A exhaust draws 85.2 𝑚𝑖𝑛 of air at a static pressure of 0.08334 ft of 𝐻2 𝑂 through a duct 0.9843 ft diameter and discharges it
through duct of 10.8273 in diameter. Determine the static fan efficiency if total fan mechanical efficiency is 70% and air is measured
at 25C and 14.7 psi.

4. A fan operates with 0.25 ft of 𝐻2 𝑂 and 0.167 ft of 𝐻2 𝑂 suction and discharge pressure respectively with an air flow of 50 cfs
through an air duct with 1 ft and 10 inches suction and discharge diameter. The has a specific weight of 62.34 lb/ft3. Compute for
the total air power on HP if the ai is 70 F and 767 mm Hg.

5. The static head of a fan is measured to be 160 mm of water gage at an air velocity of 25 m/s. Find the air power at an air condition
of 28°C and 98 kPa with a volume flow rate of 5 m3/s.

6. Determine the horsepower required for a fan delivering 35 ft/sec of air through a 2.3 ft x 3.5 ft duct with a total pressure of 3.5 in
water gage. Take density of air to be 0.075 lb/ft3.
