THE W OR LD LEADER IN CLEAN AIR SOL UT I ONS

ISOLATION STRETCHER

Airborne Transfer
According to WHO" In the context of COVID-19, the
airborne transmission may be possible in specific circum-
stances and settings in which procedures or support
treatments that generate aerosols are performed". Some
theories also suggest that when virus carriers sneeze
and/or cough they spray out 100µm droplets that contain
viruses and bacteria. Though a majority of these drops on
the floor or on fomites, micro droplets can evaporate and
turn into droplet nuclei with <5µm and can stay suspended
in the air for months without proper air ventilation. The virus
together with smaller particles can "piggyback" on larger
dust particles or droplets and travel though a building from
one room to another thought an undisinfected air duct and
AHU.

The COVID-19 curve has not significantly flattened. More

and more medical front rs are at risk ing to high priority
cases battling the pandemic. The vaccine has not made Concept Design
available as of this writing, we are still at risk.
One of the best practices to prevent the possible transmis-
sion of the virus during patient transfer from an ambulance
to isolation room and/or a room to another is through an
ISOLATION STRETCHER. The ISOLATION STRETCHER
has a transparent acrylic box, which has side pocket- holes
allowing medical staffs to attend the patient without expos-
ing themselves to the virus.
As the infected patient in the ISOLATION STRETCHER
coughs or sneezes. The ISOLATION STRETCHER traps
the contaminated air, while the prebuilt PuriAir350C
provides negative pressure inside the ISOLATION
STRETCHER. The drawn contaminated air passes through
a 3- strage filtration system with a HEPA filter, ensuring
clean air is released to the outside environment.

the risk of nosocomial infection and COVID-19 in hospitals.
With the combination of the PuriAir350C, the ISOLATION
STRETCHER can maximize the protection and operational
safety for both the patient and the medical front liners.

Filtration Mechanism
A virus that has an average size of 0.1µm can"piggyback" on the smallest dust particles that can be filtered by HEPA filter.
The smallest of particles are captured by the diffusion air filtration mechanism. These tiny particles travel along irregular
paths, similar to a gas known as Brownian Motion. This irregularity increases the likelihood that the particles with collide with
a fiber and is usually separate from the airflow.
