HOW TO PREPARE AND ACE YOUR JOB INTERVIEW?

To find the best talent to fill available job openings

To find the right match for your goals and capabilities

Before going to the interview, you have to see or check that the job you’re seeking is the right match or best fit for you
or if it's aligned with the company you’re applying for.

hindi always one time lang ang interview. Minsan umaabot ng 1 month, and it doesn’t mean ikaw lang yung iniinterview,
sinasala din po nila yung ibang applicants.

SEQUENCE OF INTERVIEWS

1. Screening stage/initial interview – they filter out applicants na hindi good or best fit sa job. Hindi masasama sa
shortlisted na hindi masasama sa selection stage
2. Selection stage – ipakita yung keen interest sa job. Kung ano yung hinahanap ng company dapat yun kayo.
Insightful questions na you’ve done your research about the company, background, and history. It shows that
you’re really interested. Most prepared candidates.
3. Final stage – you may received a job offer. Pwedeng ma-invite ng job offer ng higher position. Dito ikaw na yung
nililigawan ng company. They you see as the best among the applicants na nag-apply. Pwede munang pag-isipan
yung job offer. Ikaw na yung magdedecide kung tatanggapin mo yung job offer or hindi.

TYPES OF INTERVIEW

1. Structured interview – yung interviewer asks a series of questions in a pre-determined na pwede mong
paghandaan. You can prepare for your answer kasi yung mga questions dito is frequently na tinatanong sa mga
interview. Dapat determined na yung sagot or memorize na para may sagot na agad . tell me about yourself
means qualifications na hinahanap, describe your personality na sa tingin mo aligned sa personality ng company
na inaapplyan mo. Dapat magstandout ka and unique yung answer mo compared sa ibang applicants. Ang
challenge mo is paano ka magsstandout.
2. Open-ended interview – socratic-dialectic method. the interview adapts their questions on your answer na
binibigay mo. But don’t forget that you’re still in an interview.
3. Panel interview – you meet with several interviewers at once. Try to make a connection with each interviewer.
Dapat i-tailor ang answer or response mo according sa perspective nung interviewer na nagtatanong. Kailangan
yung sagot mo is based sa pinanggagalingan ng nagtatanong. Ex. HR ay magtatanong about habit or bad habit.
4. Group interview – you meet with several applicants or candidates simultaneously. Isang tanong lang pero
magpapagandahan ng sagot and kung sino yung may magandang sagot is siya yung mapipili. You have to be the
best among the candidates.
5. Behavioral interview – common. Kung saan you are ask for your experience. It requires na ang candidate ay
gamitin yung experience nila or their crafts answer. It doesn’t mean you need to disregard structured interview.
Review your work or college experience. Ito dapat ang pinaghahandaan kasi ito yung pinaka-usual na ginagamit.
According sa research ito yung pinaka better predictor.
6. Situational interview – yung mga questions is nakafocus sa situations na likely marerelate sa job na you are
applying for. Basahin mabuti ang job descriptions.
7. Working interview – pinaka-practical. Demonstration interview. Dapat maipakita na kaya mong gawin yung job
right in front of the interviewer. Typing-speed test, presentation, role playing, brainstorming session. It shows
that you are prepared for the job na kaya mo talaga gawin yung job na inaapplyan mo.
8. Stress interview – you might be asked questions na pwedeng matameme or madoumbfounded ka sa mga
tanong nila. Negative effect sa interviewee dahil naaapektuhan yung answers nila. Dapat marecognized mo agad
yung stressful situations at paano ito mahahandle. Para makita ng interviewer kung paano mo mahahandle yung
mga stressful situations. Mataray interviewer, they can interrupt your answers.

Kailangan may confidence. Bolstering confidence. Kailangan yung mga ganitong paghahanda included yung confidence.
Nervousness is natural. Professional image by looking neat, prepared, and professional. The more prepared you are, the
more confident you will be.

 You need to market yourself properly. Resume. You can focus on my resume. Furthermore, I enjoy watching
films and giving them a review, and it helps me to improve my judgement and my grammatical skills. I can
quickly adjust to my surroundings and to the people around me. I can do digital work if necessary, I am open to
learning new things, and I can confidently say that I am a fast learner.

WHAT IS YOUR STRENGTH/WEAKNESS?

 My weakness is that I'm forgetful, so I tend to plan ahead, take notes on things that I need to do, and schedule
every event that I need to attend to.

WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU?

As a fresh graduate, I believe that working for your organization will give me the opportunity to learn more about this
industry and improve my job performance.  Additionally, I will have the possibility to work with a number of experienced
colleagues and gain knowledge from them.

Although I am a fresh graduate, I am aware that the offered salary will be appropriate for the position. Although I don't
have a specific salary in mind, I'm confident that your business would pay fairly for this position.
