Inquizition, the national B school/ College Quiz of IIFT is entering its second edition after a tremendously successful inaugural edition held in 2010. The venue is Kolkata, the Quizzing capital of India and your host is Joy Bhattacharjya, a man whose wit is as unmatched as his vast knowledge. Inquizition promises to showcase quizzing on a grander scale than ever before. It aims at bringing the best brains from all over India in a unique tussle. This time the setting is bigger, the prizes are more attractive, the coverage is wider and of course, the competition is tougher. Kolkata is waiting with bated breath for the D day when the best B school and college students measure up to each other. And may the most Inquizitive mind win!

Quintessential - The Quiz Club & Quizzing @ IIFT

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is a peerless institute with Deemed University status imparting management education in the field of international business. Established in 1963 by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry Government of India, IIFT is consistently ranked among the top ten business schools of the country. It has two campuses New Delhi and Kolkata where it boasts of world class infrastructure and facilities. The Faculty members are shared by the two campuses and the placements are jointly held at IIFT Delhi. Synchronizing with the endeavour of delivering global business education, the students community of IIFT has been organizing national level events on contemporary and internationally relevant themes every year. Quizzing is a field where IIFT has truly achieved excellence over the last few decades. IIFTs success in events such as BT Acumen, ET in the Classroom and Tata Crucible in recent years has been well documented. Quintessential is the official quiz club of IIFT dedicated not only to quizzing but also to improving the knowledge of students on all issues of importance. Quintessential is one of the most active clubs at IIFT organizing regular quizzing sessions for students, publishing a weekly newsletter and conducting workshops. It has also not been far behind in organizing major quizzing events as well. IIFT plays host to BT Acumen at its Delhi Campus, which is one of the most prominent events in the B- School Calendar. The Quintessential Club also organizes Bizdom- The Business Quiz as part of Quo Vadis- The Annual Fest of IIFT. This event draws in major participation from corporate and students.

Event Schedule
Lead Up Event (19th and 20th July, 2011) Online quizzes (2 in total with 20 questions each) to be held on a variety of topics. It will be open to the student community outside Kolkata. The top three teams from the online quizzes would be given direct entries into the finals of Inquizition. The rounds are: Sports and Entertainment Miscellaneous

Top two teams will be selected after the series of online quizzes: These two teams will qualify directly for the Finals to be held in Kolkata Five Teams would qualify for the Finals after a written preliminary round on the day of the Grand Finale. These 7 teams would fight it out in the Grand Finals for the Big Prize.

INQUIZITION WHAT SETS US APART

A truly pan India event One of the largest quizzes in East India Enthusiastic participation from the student fraternity Event spread over a month giving maximum mileage to the sponsors Continuous coverage through print and audio visual media.

Key Notes
Event is open only to full time MBA (or equivalent)/Undergraduate/Postgraduate students. Only 2 members per team. Team members have to be from the same institute. Any number of teams from an institute allowed. No registration fee. Lead Up Event 2 Feeder Quizzes open to students (under- graduates/graduates/ post-graduates) all over the country. Cumulative Score will be taken for 2 Quizzes to decide the winners. The top 2 teams in the lead up event will get direct entry to the Final round of Inquizition to be held 13th August, 2011. The 3rd AC train fare for the to-and-fro tickets will be reimbursed. Their stay in Kolkata will be arranged by IIFT. Decision of the Quiz Master and the organizers would be final and binding on all the participants.

The Quizmaster
Joy Bhattacharjya is a host par excellence and has conducted numerous quizzes around the country with unmatched success. His ready wit and warmth endear him to the participants and the audience. He is currently the Director of Kolkata Knight Riders. In his long and illustrious career he has held positions like Senior Vice President at National Geographic Channel, Head of Production at ESPN Star Sports and Producer at TWI to name a few.
