INTRODUCTION

Good writing connects things, evokes emotion and also tells a story that the reader can relate

to.

A good writer believes in the story they are telling, if you are not convinced by your characters

and the story you are telling, why should anyone else be? A good writer brings out the truth and

if you are merely going through the motions and not fully invested in your story then it’s hard to

have an emotional resonance for the reader. The best writer must have the ability to create a story

that people want to read, it doesn’t matter what you are writing about whether you are writing

about politics, life-changing or any other topic.

A good writer bust be able to entertain their readers, millions of people takes a lot of their

precious time doing other things than reading your writing. Spending time with their families,

socializing or even playing sport. Instead they have chosen to spend time in a world you have

created, in hope that your words will take them out of their daily lives. They want to be

entertained and a writer should never forget this and hence working hard to satisfy their readers.

Good writing like all good art makes people see the world in a slightly different way-the way the

writer has conveyed it in their work. Ability to make readers look at something and understand it

from a new perspective is why writing can be one of the most powerful ways of increasing

human understanding.

Nobody wants to read a boring story, memorable writers have the ability to create an

imaginative landscape that readers want to explore and people it with characters that their readers

will want to spend time with. Not forgetting that finest writers use language in an imaginative

way so that readers can find unexpected pleasures in the way words are put together and used.

Understanding that readers want to come a long for a ride so great writers have to take risks and

if you get readers on your side, there is nowhere they won’t travel with you.so one have to give

them an exciting journey, putting yourself in their place because nobody would prefer a boring

ride/read, they would rather go to places that they didn’t even know existed.

A good writer needs to be perfect in words because the words are basic tools, and all writers

need to be highly proficient in their use. Having a natural facility with words and also should

enjoy using them and take pleasure in the language they use and communicate their ideas. Being

good in spelling and grammar because no writer want their readers to concentrate on their

mistakes other than their writing therefore grammar and spelling are invisible in good

writing ,meaning that the reader doesn’t notice things like that when they are used wrongly,

which makes them stick out.

Writing is not easy and a good writer needs to be persistent because successful writers are the

ones who don’t give up at the first hurdle, the second or even the third. Good writer’s keeps on

going even when it’s tough .writing is like any other skill, it takes commitment and a lot of

practice. A good writer put their hours in and also creates time for it.they shows their love and

the care it deserves. A good writer needs to be resilience, work gets rejected at some point and

there may be times when even most brilliant writer in the world feels like giving up. Sometimes

other people may not agree and there may be editors and even publishers who turn your work

down but good writer understand that you learn what you can from the down times, and keep

going.

In conclusion I can say that our efforts and determination are the thing that helps us in

becoming good writers and anybody who is willing to do the writing must never give up and also

be ready to learn from their own mistakes
