INDIA OF MY DREAM VISION @ 2047

My vision for my country celebrating its 100th year of

Independence and freedom is a bright one. I see faces
festooned with our native natural smiles and mindsets
open to learning and knowledge as they once used to
be in ‘Bharat’s Golden Global Preaching Days’. And as I
wait for my bus, running on clean hydrogen fuel for
going to work, I see a child with her mother speaking in
a foreign tongue and it bedazzles me to connect the
dots to my time, where English was considered a
standard more and a language less. However, leaving
this fascinating thought behind, I board my bus and
here comes my favorite part of the day. Listening to
the Shlokas of Bhagavat Geeta, an audio program in my
seat’s infotainment system, scheduled for 7:30 in the
morning. As I am sitting and listening to my shlokas, my
co passenger offers me some freshly cooked Samosa
that he is having. I nod saying I have eaten my
breakfast but he kept pressing on so, I took just one
from his tiffin and looked out from the window seeing
and wondering what a wonderful place my country has
evolved into, a place, where people have freedom to as
many trends as one can possibly think of, where
democratic tools are at people’s fingertips as they use
them through their smartphone screens, where there
is food and health security for all, where’s education
has now become an epitome of quality learning, where
values and customs are respected for their guidance
since times immemorial, where there is culture of
novice inclusivity and where some great religious cults
of this world brewed and flourished. Of which, I am a
proud citizen.
THIS IS MY INDIA AT ITS 100TH EVOLUTIONARY YEAR!
