DESIGN BASIS
The proposed Drinking water treatment system consists of one or more unit operations,
such as filtration, minerals/chemicals additions, Reverse osmosis and post treatment
system. These unit operations are simple, yet effective operations for separating
suspended and dissolved solids from water and to adjust pH of the product water. The
proposed system design is intended to be simple and compact and still provide safe
working conditions to achieve the desired objectives. The system design is fully
integrated to allow for planned upset, transient and steady operations. The materials of
constructions, the piping layout, membranes, and control systems have all been evaluated
for field operations in domestic environment.
