5 PURPOSE/ RELEVANCE/ SIGNIFICANCE OF THE RESEARCH

 The research's major significance is that to address the safety of the residents, as well as their health and well-
being, that are exclusively located on the site of construction by providing them with a more placid residence as
their place of relocation.
 The study will create different opportunities for the residents in terms of their source of income with their new
location with the help of the public market and other commercial spaces. As a result, not only are household
earnings increases, but so is the local economy.
 The development will cater to the basic health needs and necessities of the residents by providing a basic health
facility that is accessible to everyone, involving those from neighboring communities as well.
 With the provision of bus stop and tricycle terminal within the area the transportation and commuting experience
of the locals will improve. Buses routed in the area provides mass transportation which allows citizens to travel
conveniently, while the tricycle terminal will allow residents to get to their desired destinations such as work,
school, and other businesses that requires commuting.

1.1.6 ASSUMPTION

Since the proposed study is a type of Socialized Planned Unit Development, the researchers perceived that the probable
source of funding for the project will be corporations that delve in the home development industry, which are Filinvest,
Ayala Land Inc., and Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC). The researchers also look for ways for the government
specifically the National Housing Authority (NHA) to fund the project.
In the building development phase of the project, the team opts to develop the development through phases. The
development will start from the frontage proceeding to rear of the development. The development will be divided into 3
buildings, wherein the pure residential building will be made first so it can accommodate immediately the residents that
needs relocation, followed by the second building, which is mixed residential and commercial where households can
perform their business on their assigned space, and lastly by the admin facility which will house the offices and the
clinics.
