THIRD GRADE WELCOME LETTER FOR PARENTS

Dear 11/12/2022
Parent/Guardians,

My name is Misheel Enkhbat, and I am your child’s 3rd grade teacher. I am writing this letter to
inform you about the upcoming year and explain some ways to improve our time spent together.

About Me:
I graduated from UC Riverside in 2018 and became a certified teacher in 2022. I consider myself
fair and balanced in my approach to teaching. In my free time, I enjoy camping, yoga, and
spending time with family.

Parent/Teacher Communication:
Throughout the year I will communicate with you through emails, telephone calls, progress
reports and parent-teacher conferences. I encourage you to contact me if you have any
questions or concerns at any time. You can call me at (650) 644-5288 or e-mail me at
misheele1@gmail.com. A good parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school
success, and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Classroom Procedures:
Procedures and Routines are an important part of making our classroom a safe and inviting
space for everyone. As a class, we discussed 3 important procedures that you can help reinforce
by reviewing with your child. I’ve included a handout with the specific steps involved in each
procedure.
When you have a question.
When you need to use the bathroom.
When you need come into class in the morning.

Grading and Homework:

There will be a daily folder sent home each day. Any papers placed on the left side of the
opened folder should be “left” at home and any papers on the right side should come “right”
back to me.

Homework is given on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week. This is a great
time for you as a parent/guardian to go over important skills with your child. Please note that
all homework will be graded and will be due on Friday or the last day of the week. If there are
any concerns about finishing homework, please discuss with me. Students may turn in late
assignments for 50% credit. There will be no retakes for assessments, unless it is an excused
absence. I understand that special circumstances can occur, so if there are any concerns about
test grades, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. My goal is to ensure all students are
successful, and communication will help us all reach that goal together.

Again, I look forward to teaching your child and working with you to help your child achieve their
fullest potential. Please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Ms. Enkhbat
