c. Review of related Literature

A review of related literature (RRL) is a detailed review of existing
literature related to the topic of a thesis or dissertation. In an RRL, you talk
about knowledge and findings from existing literature relevant to your topic

d. Synthesis of the review

Synthesis is the process of synthesizing the findings of various primary
research studies conducted to test a single conceptual idea. Both quantitative
and qualitative research can use it. Its overarching objectives are to increase
the generalizability and applicability of the conclusions from numerous distinct
investigations.

2. Why there is a need for the researcher to conduct the review of

related literature?
For the following reasons, writing a literature review is crucial because
it shows that you comprehend the problem you are researching. You can also
create a more theoretical framework for your research by conducting a
literature review. Of course, it also demonstrates the gaps in the existing
literature and supports your analysis.

3. What are the basic requirements for doing the review of related
literature?
Every literature review must meet the following fundamental
requirements for academic research. First, the project's questions and
objectives must be directly tied to the literature review. Second, the literature
review must include a synthesis of findings into a summary of what is known
and unknown about the project topic. Thirdly, it must point out and go through
the controversial parts of the literature. Finally, it must help point up areas that
require more investigation.

4. Explain and illustrate how the review of related literature is

presented using each of the following approaches:
a. Country of origin approach
The impact of origin on how persons are seen results show that there
are considerable perception differences. A person's perceptions may be
significantly influenced by their country of origin. It contains the origin's effect.

b. Chronological Approach
This approach makes sense to follow these modifications in
chronological order if they have been clearly evolving in this manner over
time. You establish and present your academic credentials by highlighting the
most crucial and significant authors and articles at each stage. Your audience
will pay attention to who you believe deserves mention and whose work you
are quoting to put your own perspective.

c. Thematic approach
Using this approach, you examine and discuss existing literature and
research based on the key issues they address rather than the chronological
order in which they were produced. With this thematic method, you have the
advantage of choosing and organizing the topic order to fit the story and
progression of your research. Additionally, it enables you to evaluate the
literature you've selected more critically and see the connections between
various writing pieces more clearly.
