The HR department of an organization provides the details of 100 of its employees
(complete data-set is provided in the Excel file provided with this question paper).

1. Analyze the data to answer the following: [5+5]

a) Create two line diagrams in a single panel, each representing male and female
recruitments on time scale.

b) How would you like to interpret the comparative trends of these two line
diagrams in managerial terms?

Conduct a comparative analysis of the salary between the male and female
employees. Do a relative comparison with respect to the following statistical
parameters for the salaries of the male and female employees:

i. Mean salary;
ii. Median salary;
iii. Standard Deviation of salary; &
iv. Skewness in salary.

Each of the above-mentioned analyses should be accompanied by a brief

interpretation.

a) Construct a linear regression model explaining Salary Hike % by Employee
Performance Index.

b) From the derived model in Part a, compute the expected Salary Hike % for the
employee Performance Index of 4.90.

a) As the age of the employee increases, there is a usual tendency of gaining body
weight. Establish the fact by an appropriate statistical analysis.

b) Find out the employees who satisfy all of the following conditions:

i. Name Prefix is "Ms.";

ii. Age is less than 35 years;
iii. Employee performance Index is more than 3; &
iv. Age in the company is more than 1 year.
