Introduction to EV

Electric vehicles are the most popular issue in India right now. Thinking of EVs as slow and sluggish till a few
years ago, nowadays to witnessing fast and fierce TESLA. The situation has completely changed. Consumers
have begun to favor electric cars due to their blend of enjoyment and sustainability.

About our company

We are both a product-based and service-based company. We are providing an EV charging service, just like
Zomato we can order our food anytime and anywhere also like Urban Company provides grooming, beauty,
appliance repair, and home cleaning services. We are providing an EV charging service anytime and anywhere,
you can book a slot with the help of an application for availing this service. Along with this service, we are also
the provider of a portable EV charger.

Anticipated needs we are addressing – Charging facility for EV and Portable charger

Charging a heavier electric car can be a huge issue for any electric car owner if they do not have a correct setup
(powerful MCB, wiring, and earthling) nearby. This problem of mental pressure is triggered by a lack of battery
storage, which is improving but still needs to be improved significantly. Every electric vehicle manufacturer has
its own charging port, which is making it difficult to establish a proper charging environment.

Need Identification

Primary Research
The following questions were included in the questionnaire :
1. Name, City, Age group
2. On an average, how much time do you spend charging your vehicle weekly?
3. Are there sufficient charging points at your residential area for EVs?
4. Would you buy a Portable charger which will charge your vehicle in case of battery drain issue?
5. Would you completely rely on EVs in future?
6. How much do you spend weekly on charging?

Analysis based on the received answers:

The first 3 basic questions were asked to know more about the respondent and relate this answer to a particular
behaviour or attitude. We collected the data based on the assumption that the person will use EV in future and
based on this assumption we collected the data from people who drive vehicles and are in need of vehicles to
fulfill their needs.
By making interpretations from the data collected we can say that 88.5% of people will prefer charging their
vehicle at their door step instead of charging stations as it is taking 6-8 hours for 40% of the respondents to charge
their vehicle and also for 80% of them there are no charging points available in their residential area. 94.2% will
prefer buying a portable charger for their vehicle in case of battery drain issue.

Secondary Research

 Research Paper - Secondary use of Electric Vehicle Batteries and Potential Impacts on Business Models
This study highlights the business models of various EV stakeholders that enable battery reuse. We examine the
decision criteria for battery "post-vehicle" applications and their possible consequences The findings highlight
the significance of battery ownership, inter-industry collaboration, and legislative assistance. Government
support is the most essential trigger for battery reuse at this early stage. The findings also show that battery reuse
has the potential to act as a driver for EV business model reconfiguration.
 Research paper – Study of EV battery reliability improvement
This study focuses on EV battery dependability, which includes recognising failure types, testing methods, and
life projection methods. By focusing on these factors, the reliability feature will be found, and the battery's life
will be extended.
 Article - The mobility Revolution: Portable EV charging stations for personal and shared use (2022)
Volkswagen Group and bp, Europe's largest energy business, have joined together to rapidly carry out EV fast
charging in Europe by 2024. The charger locations will be integrated into VW, Seat, and Skoda vehicles'
navigation and other in-car apps, as well as Volkswagen's charging application, Elli, making it easier for drivers
to identify accessible charging points.
