Where Are We?
OVERVIEW
SITUATION:
After installing the Google Drive app on your mobile device, you can now save
pictures and documents of your pet, Coco! But first, you need to create a specific
folder for Coco’s files to keep them organized.
Google Drive works just like a hard drive, except now you can access your files
online using any device!
LEARNING GOALS:
By the end of this module, you should be able to:
1. Upload a file to Google Drive.
2. Create a folder in Google Drive.
3. Move a file to a folder.
Materials Needed:
For this module, you will need the following:
● Android mobile device
● internet connection

Where Are We?
LEARN
KEY TERMS:
● Google Drive
A type of cloud storage that enables you to store and access your files online.
It allows you to sync stored documents, photos, and more across all of your
devices, including your mobile, tablet, and PC. 1
● Google Apps
A suite of web-based collaboration applications that Google hosts on their
own servers. To access these apps, simply use a web browser or you can also
install them on your phone. 2
● Google Docs
An online word processor that lets you create and format documents and
work collaboratively with other people. 3
LET’S PRACTICE
Downloading an Image
1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
4. To download the image, tap and hold the image, then select Download
image.
Uploading an Image
1. Open the Google Drive app.
3. This will show you six options: Folder, Upload, Scan, Google Docs, Google
Sheets, and Google Slides. Choose Upload.
If you choose to upload images, Google Drive will redirect you to your image
files. Select the image you want to upload.
Creating a Folder
1. One way to create a folder in Google Drive is by tapping the Create button or
the plus sign (+) button on the lower-right corner of the screen.
2. Choose Folder.
3. Select the folder where you want to move your file, then tap Move. Now you
have Coco’s picture saved in your folder!

Task
Now that you have uploaded Coco’s picture to your Google Drive, it is time to open
the online document editor, Google Docs, to create your letter for Coco! Follow the
steps on how to open a Google app from Google Drive. Then, rename the document
to “My Best Pal, Coco”.
