My Language Biography

I speak 4 languages. My first language/mother touge or the language I learned first to

speak is Chavacano, I acquire my first language from the soroundings where I live( which is in
Zamboanga), and from my family who taught me to speak chavacano. The skills I’ve learned
using my first language is singing and also socializing. The second languages I learn are
Filipino (Tagalog dialect), English and Spanish. The skils I gain in my second language are
listening, speaking, reading and writing. I’ve learn to understand a movie that is foreign and
my social skills improve. The strength of language is that it gives meaning to things. Another
strength is how it can be mixed and used to express emotions. And my weakness:
pronunciation. English has no reliable rule for pronunciation. Readers often stumble on words
they don't know how to pronounce or feel unsure due to the many options in which words can
be pronounced. My suggestion to further improve your language competence is to read some
books that is foreign, watch some movie and practice speaking because practice makes perfect.
